Come
join us at
Big
Ridge
State Park
to celebrate the fall with our traditional Silver Hammer Tourney.
Friday
Night:
From
Master William McNaughton:
The
Autocrat of this year's Silver Hammer has asked me to produce some kind of
performing arts on Friday Night. I
wish to announce a performing arts "Thing."
Bring your songs, your stories, and your dances, and your playlets.
I will be awarding prizes at my whim and setting categories at
random, depending on who turns out. The
competition will be in an open format.
Documentation will give you a bonus, but is not required.
The Thing will start at 10:00 p.m. in the main hall.
Silver
Hammer Tourney:
Tradition tourney in the Hammer on the Field.
Winner receives the honor of wearing the Silver Hammer until next
year’s tourney.
Youth
Combat: There
will be a Youth Tourney with Prizes/Awards per age group and a
participation token
just for being in the tourney. We
really hope to see a lot of participation this year.
There will also be a Rapier Tournament, Archery, Live
Weapons. Come get your fill of
sharp, pointy things. And
brush up on your shooting skills for the IKAC.
The Embroider’s Guild will have a salon on the field in the
morning. Come and learn a few
stitches whilst watching the tourneys.
The A&S Minister will be accepting entries with the theme
From the Ground Up. The more
steps used to create the entry, the better (i.e. spin the thread, make the
needle to sew the costume) Use
your imagination, and bring what documentation you can.
Children’s
activities will
be held on the field in the early afternoon.
Merchants
need to
contact the Event Steward to arrange space.
